Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic domain extension is the sole TLD meant for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. At the beginning, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to buy john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level domain names remained online.

Through our company, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to modify the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer code from the current registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no special restrictions on who can grab a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
